Escallonia 'Red Elf'

Escallonia are popularly grown for a prolonged flowering period, and Red Elf is just the right variety for your summer garden. It is an excellent shrub to add height and structure in any garden. It provides lush colours at the back of a border or when used for screening walls or fences. This compact and evergreen variety produce green foliage and crimson flowers that attract bees and butterflies.

In summer, Escallonia Red Elf will bear clusters of tubular red flowers that grow in abundance. Plant it in any soil that is moist and well-drained. It can thrive in any PH type soil be it alkaline, acidic or neutral. Red Elf is an easy to grow border shrub that requires low pruning. Simply trim after flowering as required to maintain its shape and size.
