Festuca 'Intense Blue'

Festuca glauca Intense Blue is an evergreen, grassy shrub that can be situated in pots, borders, containers and displays within any garden. Commonly known as Blue Fescue, this plant will form in a compact, mounding habit with wirey blue shaded leaves. It will then, in the period between April and June, show neat flowering of a blue-green shade.

Partial shade is best for the plant, but it will also cope well in full sunlight. The low maintenance care levels of this plant make it easy-to-grow and, therefore, ideal for beginner plant growers. You should plant it in well-drained soil, ensuring that you water it moderately well in its first year so the plant establishes itself. After that period, the plant will become tolerant to mild droughts.
