Escallonia 'Red Knight'

A beautiful evergreen with striking colour, the Escallonia Red Knight is a variety of the popular shrub and is a great choice for informal hedging or borders near paths. It is a somewhat compact, bushy plant with glossy, dark green foliage and loose, pendulous clusters of tubular cherry red flowers which bloom from early to mid-Summer through to the beginnings of Autumn.

Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position to protect from cold, drying winds. Drought tolerant once established and suitable for coastal regions.
